Man Shot In Norwalk Home, Police Asking For Information

A man was found shot in his abdomen in his Fairfield County home and police are asking the public for information.

The incident took place in Norwalk around 12:20 a.m., Friday, Jan. 26 at a home on Hillandale Manor.

According to Lt. Tomasz Podgorski of the Norwalk Police, officers responded to the home after receiving a 911 call regarding a shooting.

Officers found the unidentified man who had been shot in the abdomen, Podgorski said. He was transported to Norwalk Hospital for treatment.

The Detective Bureau responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.

"This investigation is active at this time and detectives have determined that this is an isolated incident with no threat to the Norwalk community, Podgorski said.
